Stream: Fonda, ‘Seeing Stars’

When Dave Klotz and Emily Cook resurfaced in mid-2011 after taking enough time away from parenting duties to restart Fonda, indie-pop fans had another reason to rejoice. Their three albums between 1998 and 2003 nailed the Britpop-derived sound that many current indie artists mine and manipulate – noisy guitar-and-synth, boy/girl vocals, soaring melodies. Fonda’s 2011 EP “Better Days” saw the husband-wife team re-emerge with sharper songs and crisper production, and now they’ve done themselves one better: A whole new batch of material comprises the full-length “Sell Your Memories,” due Feb. 5 via Minty Fresh. Think of this one as connecting the dots between Lush and the Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Bliss out, friends.
