Suburban Living

What we saw at SXSW.

Itchin’ for a good summer soundtrack? Wesley Bunch – aka Suburban Living – and his band already have an earful of those dream-pop fixings that should make any memorable sun-kissed playlist. Although Virginia already boasts big Sarah Records-influenced artists such as Wild Nothing, Bunch trades in the shimmering, sparkling textures of the loveliest of contemporary shoegazers. Whether it’s the new-wave synths in “Always Eyes” or the blissful chord progressions in “I Don’t Fit In,” Suburban Living will enhance that ride with the top down on PCH. The “Always Eyes” 7-inch single will be available April 16 via Dialog Records. File next to Letting Up Despite Great Faults and the Depreciation Guild.
