Four vocalists, four songwriters and a total of six veteran hands who know their way around a song – the conflagration of talent in Truth & Salvage Co. seems to make the L.A.-based outfit immediate contenders in the roots-rock world. Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, for one, thinks so. He’s signed them to his band’s Silver Arrow Records (an imprint of Sony/Megaforce) and is producing their debut album, scheduled for release early next year. Truth & Salvage – singer-guitarists Tim Jones and Scott Kinnebrew, singer-keyboardist Walker Young, singer-drummer Bill Smith, keyboardist Adam Grace and bassist Joe Edel – will tour with the Crowes this fall and has a four-song EP coming soon.
