Video: Arms, ‘Comfort’

ARMS’ 2011 album “Summer Skills” was one of our favorites that year for its ability to pull off intense mood swings in imaginative ways – primal rhythms, molten synth tones, bombastic but unpredictable guitars. It felt .. well, weighty, like all that agitation and banging were purposeful. After a break, main man Todd Goldstein (ex-Harlem Shakes) hunkered down to make “EP2,” which arrived this month via Paper Garden Records. The Brooklyn-based artist leaves things a little rougher around the edges on his new EP, and, as you’d guess from Graham Hill’s video for “Comfort,” there still isn’t much reason to take anything for granted.
