‣ Beck’s “Song Reader” – his sheet-music-only release from a year ago – comes to life at Disney Hall, where he will be joined by the Los Angeles Philharmonic (conducted David Campbell, Beck’s father) and an array of special guests in a performance of the work. Collaborators include Jarvis Cocker, Jenny Lewis, Jack Black, Jon Brion, Van Dyke Parks, Childish Gambino, Jonathan Gold, Juanes, Josh Kun, Roger Manning, Jr., John C. Reilly and Moses Sumney, among others.
‣ Pearl Jam does a second night at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.
‣ Hip-hop supergroup Deltron 3030 does it up at the Fonda Theatre. They’ve been performing with a 16-piece orchestra in support of their sophomore album “Deltron 3030: Event II,” which features contributors such as Damon Albarn, Zach De La Rocha, Jamie Cullum and Joseph Gordon Levitt.
‣ Japanese metallurgists Dir En Grey visit the House of Blues Hollywood behind their new EP “The Unraveling.”
