Above: That’s the video for Young the Giant‘s song “Crystallized.” The track is off their sophomore album “Mind Over Matter,” which they’ll be supporting with a show at the Majestic Ventura Theatre on Tuesday and then the Hollywood Palladium on Friday. Seems like only yesterday we were presenting their residency. L.A. band Cayucas will be opening each night.

@KRBronson recommends: Let’s see, since the Future Islands show tonight is sold out, and the Lucius show Tuesday is sold out, and both those White Denim shows are sold out, how about we meet up Friday night at the El Rey Theatre to see Delorean? Their latest album “Apar” is their catchiest yet (though some reviewers have decried that very quality), still-sumptuous indie-pop.

@Seraphina_L recommends: There are several excellent residencies this month, but if you want to kick February off with a strong one, I strongly suggest stopping by Kan Wakan‘s first night of Monday night residency at the Echoplex. The free night of music will also include sets from James Supercave, Only You and Incan Abraham.
