Quite a Monday night in store for you:
‣ Buzz Bands LA presents Week 2 of the residency by Kera & the Lesbians at the Echo; Kera Armendariz and her band of merry men will be rocking their unique gypsy punk on a bill that includes Only You, the Wild Reeds and Matt Rivers.
‣ Soul singer Jessica Childress celebrates the release of her debut EP, “Remember My Name,” with a show at the Hotel Café. [See our premiere of her “I Quit” video.]
‣ Even more soul at the Bootleg Bar, where Jarell Perry [see our post from November] headlines a night that includes Dead Times, Ru and Thatkidcalhoun.
‣ It’s a School Night at Bardot checks in with a lineup of Vanaprasta, Dreamers Dose, Bonfire Beach and Hudson Taylor.
‣ And the rest of the Monday night residencies are brimming with great things too – Kan Wakan at the Echoplex (with MyPet, J. Laser and Tien); the New Electric Sound at the Silverlake Lounge (with Rooster RA, Owenstone and the Modern Age); Busy Living at the Satellite (with SWIIIM, TS & the Past Haunts and Blake);Â Fever the Ghost at the Detroit Bar; and Hindu Pirates at the Constellation Room (with Matt McCluer, SWIMM and Babies on Acid).
