Here’s what’s up on a terrific Tuesday:
‣ Meg Myers celebrates the release of her “Make a Shadow” EP (out today) with a show at the Bootleg Bar. Irontom and Bom Bom support. Above, Myers’ video for “Desire.”
‣ Indie-rock trio Augustines, back with a self-titled second album, rock the Troubadour, supported by My Goodness and Beware of Darkness.
‣ Brooklyn synth-poppers St. Lucia headline the El Rey Theatre behind last fall’s “When the Night,” with Sir Sly opening.
‣ Band of Horses kick off tour behind today’s release of their 10-song live album “Acoustic at the Ryman.” Tonight, Ben Bridwell and gang will be acoustic at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre.
‣ Sylvan Esso – singer Amelia Meath from Mountain Man and electronic musician Nick Sanborn of Megafaun, play the Satellite. They have an album coming in May on Partisan Records. Tonight, the Urxed (Rob Barber of High Places) and Victory support.
‣ And the Belle Brigade continue their residency at the Echo, supported by Fell Runner and Juliette Commagere.
