Wildcat! Wildcat! were all smiles on Friday night at the Echoplex, and why not – the L.A. synth-pop outfit, with only a four-song EP to its credit thus far, sold out the room. They dispensed their falsetto-laden ditties (and a Genesis cover) to a dancing, swaying crowd that arrived early and stayed late, some procuring the venue’s “hall pass” to run the stairs between the aesthetically similar show upstairs at the Echo featuring indie-pop bands Magic Man, Scavenger Hunt and Mother. It was not all happy times, though, for supporting quartet Body Parts. Friday marked Alina Cutrono’s final show with the band, and the songs off their sensational 2013 album “Fire Dream” (plus a new tune) took on a bittersweet tone. Mt. Ossa opened the night with a set of reverb-drenched psychedelia off their debut “Homework Machine.”
