The first of many Mega Mondays in March:
‣ Valley-based folk sextet Run River North celebrates the release of its self-titled debut (just out on Nettwerk) with a show at the Troubadour, supported by the Prowling Kind.
‣ Scottish quartet Glasvegas, returning to L.A. behind its third album “Later …Â When the TV Turns to Static,” head up a packed lineup at It’s a School Night at Bardot. Of special note: Minneapolis indie-rockers Howler, whose second album comes out March 25 via Rough Trade. Also on tap: the Darcys and Gang of Youths.
‣ Lucinda Williams closes out a run of 10 southern California shows with a night at the Hotel Café, supported by the Kenneth Brian Band.
‣ Folk-soul crooner Moses Sumney kicks off his residency at the Bootleg Theater, supported by Jerome Holloway and Vikesh Kapoor.
‣ Indie-rock quintet James Supercave start their residency at the Echo, with De Lux and Dead Times opening.
‣ And it’s the opening night of the Eagle Rock Gospel Singers‘ residency at the Satellite – they will be joined by DA & the Jones (celebrating the release of their album “Sirens”), Rich Aucoin, Banta and Cory Becker.
