Elizabeth Le Fey, aka Globelamp, is preparing to release her record “Star Dust,” and if you haven’t heard it yet, her video for her new single “Breathing Ritual” will give you an idea of her spiritual soundscape. With a look that falls in somewhere in between Grimes and Stevie Nicks, the Leslie Andrew Ridings-directed clip brings out the supernatural vibe Le Fey has nurtured in both her gypsy folk-tinted psychedelia and her image. Photographer Hobbes Ginsberg, who currently serves as her artistic inspiration, also stars in the video with Le Fey, and together they gallivant in mystical activities. If you watch closely, you’ll see her burning photos of a former bandmate. The complications from that relationship has been no secret from the media, but all of it has led to the creative process of this release. “Star Dust,” which has six additional tracks since Le Fey released it as a lo-fi EP last year, is now slated for a June 3 release via Gazelle Recordings.
