The first of two nights of Love You Down III at the Echo and Echoplex had a neighborhood-y feel — in a really arty neighborhood. Warpaint, SWIMM and Gardens & Villa were among the many standouts.

The late singer-songwriter and producer Richard Swift was celebrated by the likes of the Shins’ James Mercer, Nathaniel Rateliff, Cold War Kids, Foxygen, David Bazan and more on a night that achieved the perfect tenor.
The late Richard Swift will be saluted at the Masonic Lodge by the likes of Cold War Kids, Lucius, Foxygen and Gardens & Villa. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Swift’s family.
