The three-part series “SILENCE at Descanso” begins tonight with Zola Jesus, Low Leaf, Miya Folick, Saul Williams, Archie Carey and more.
Jason Bentley signed off at KCRW on Friday, his final day as the station’s music director and host of “Morning Becomes Eclectic.” A rotating team of the station’s DJs will host MBE for the next four months.
As part of the free KCRW Summer Nights series, Black Pumas, Y La Bamba and Andrew Bird will perform concerts at the station’s Santa Monica headquarters in August.
Pavo Pavo, Wild Belle and the Tracks will headline this year’s free KCRW Summer Nights at the Hammer Museum, going off on the latter Thursdays of July.
KCRW has announced the dates for this year’s Summer Nights programs across Southern California. Harriet Brown and Girlpool kick things off in June at One Colorado.
Along with that coffee, awaken your consciousness with African cultural/musical ambassador Rocky Dawuni’s title track for his upcoming album, “Beats of Zion.”
KCRW’s Masquerade returns this year at the historic Los Angeles Theatre with a mix of live performances and DJ sets from the likes of Santigold, White Denim, Dam-Funk, Cherry Glazerr and more.
The lineup has been announced for the final Chinatown Summer Nights of 2018: Caught a Ghost, Clara-Nova, TAMPA, Jasper Bones, Mini Bear, Jane Holiday and Emma Cole will play the Live Music Stage.
