It’s Buzz Bands LA’s annual “Artists to Watch” — short missives about the music we’re anticipating the most in 2017. Dig in.
Ten L.A. artists, including Phoebe Bridgers, Wires in the Walls, Tall Tales and the Silver Lining and Little Red Lung, salute Emmylou Harris on the tribute album “To Emmylou.”
Those artists, along with Allison Weiss, Phoebe Bridgers, Alina Bea and V.A.J.J., finished up the three-day benefit event at the Bootleg Theater with some electric performances.
Singer-songwriter-guitarist Brian Whelan’s long-awaited sophomore album, “Sugarland,” will be out March 25. But does he have any dance moves?
Counting some holdovers from last year’s list, here is Buzz Bands LA’s 16 Bands to Watch for 2016 — and 16 more besides them to keep an eye on.
