[Update: It was just announced that Emilie Simon has canceled her appearance because of “major personal reasons.” Soko will replace her in the lineup. Enjoy Simon’s song below anyway …]

Dance-pop singer, songwriter and muti-instrumentalist Sebastien Tellier sings in English, French and Italian and emanates the same type of characteristic nonchalance as his forebear, French legends Serge Gainsbourg and Michel Polnareff. Signed by Record Makers (Air’s former label) Tellier’s third album and most recent release “Sexuality” was produced by Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. The album combines elements of electronic music, R&B and Tellier’s desire to sexually excite listeners through his music.

French experimental electro-pop songstress Emile Simon debuted her self-titled album in 2003 to critical praise and has been a commercial success in France ever since, winning multiple awards in French music. Simon recently located to New York and released two U.S. albums, in 2006 and 2007. Simon is back with her new LP, “Big Machine,” released digitally this month. Simon’s avante-garde take on pop music and love for David Bowie, Bjork and Kate Bush shine throughout her music. Her festival set will include material from her original score for the Academy-Award winning documentary “March of the Penguins,” alongside with songs from “Big Machine.”
