Cold War Kids, sequestered somewhere in southern regions of L.A. County, are working on their next album, but they announced this week that a new EP, “Behave Yourself,” will be out on Jan. 19. The quartet is playing the Wiltern three days later, on Jan. 22. A promotional video they have on their website has some song snippets.
☛ Local Natives’ album “Gorilla Manor” will finally see a release — in the U.K., anyway. It’ll be out Nov. 2 on Infectious Records.
☛ Kidrockers, the great monthly matinee shows for kids ages 3-13, has its next show at 1 p.m. Nov. 8, featuring the Henry Clay People and a “special guest” that won’t be announced until Nov. 4. Let’s see … Nov. 4 is the day after Silversun Pickups play the Gibson Amphitheatre, right? Just guessing. Tickets are $9 in advance, $12 at the door.
