Beach House, the Baltimore duo of Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand, has teased its forthcoming third album by releasing the single “Norway,” a woozy ballad built on a wobbly organ line that’s sure to elevate the indie crowd’s warm-and-fuzzies to pure delirium. [Yes, after I posted this I checked some other blogs to tabulate the oohs and aahs.] Between Beach House’s signing to Sub Pop, its touring with Grizzly Bear and the mystifying (to me) outpouring of love for 2008’s “Devotion,” the hype machine is well-oiled. Bring on “Teen Dream,” I suppose. But please don’t ask me to stand through another of their live shows.
