Here’s Bradford Cox as Atlas Sound doing his thing Jan. 8 at the Natural History Museum – all 75 minutes of it. Cox was the first headliner of 2010 in the First Fridays series, which continues this week with music from Yeasayer and Warpaint and discussions with Caltech professor Dr. Nathan S. Lewis titled “Where in the World Will Our Energy Come From?” Advance tickets for this week’s event have sold out; there will be some at the door. If you’re of a mind to mix music and education, the event starts at 5:30 p.m. with a tour title, “Energy, Power and the Transformation of Early L.A.” Also, Deer Tick was just announced as the headliner for the March 5 First Fridays.
