Tonight in L.A.: Summer Darling, the Outline, more

by kevin on July 5, 2010

rocksandsand[This belated Monday missive is brought to you by my holiday weekend hangover:]

Top 5 reasons to mumble “Hawl-uh-day, what hawl-uh-day?” and venture out tonight:

Four promising residencies kick off: Folk-rockers Mississippi Man at the Echo (Rumspringa opens); Summer Darling (whose debut is coming out digitally Tuesday on Origami) at Spaceland (Twilight Sleep supports); the Outline (new EP, “Who You Love”) at the Bootleg Theater (Superhumanoids close the evening); and O.C.’s Yellow Red Sparks at the Silverlake Lounge (Vanaprasta opens). … And a good non-residency show: Square on Square plays the Hotel Cafe.
