Even two times zones away Wednesday, I could almost feel the Smell tremble and sigh when the local noiseniks No Age unveiled new music. The new single “Glitter” – is the title derived from the fact the intro vaguely resembles the Gary Glitter hit? – will be out Aug. 24 on Sub Pop as both a 12-inch and a 7-inch, with different B-sides. “Inflorescene” (streamed below) is the flip side of the 7-inch. “Glitter,” meanwhile, which will appear on the new album “Everything in Between” (due Sept. 27), seethes with No Age’s characteristic distortion yet positions singer-drummer Dean Spunt’s vocals atop the mix. Play it loud.
