[Birthday greetings go out today to piano man Dustin O'Halloran ...]

SEASONS-vidTop 4 local shows on a good night for local shows:

☛ Highland Park’s Seasons premier their video for “Light, Lost” (that’s a photo from the video shoot, left) at 9 tonight at Spaceland, kicking off an excellent night that includes Modern Time Machines, Hexham Heads and the Meeting Places. (More on Seasons’ recent EP here.)
☛ Kissing Booth and Moon Pearl play the Smell.
☛ Daylong Valleys of the Nile — that’s most of the folks from Lavender Diamond — join the Faraway Places and  Molino at the Silverlake Lounge.
☛ And Halloween Swim Team heads up a lineup including Michael Nhat and Pizza! at Echo Curio.

Elsewhere: Frank Turner at the Troubadour; the Gories at the Echo; Apocalyptica at Club Nokia; a second night of David Gray and Ray LaMontagne at the Greek Theatre; Scissor Sisters’ free in-store at Amoeba; and Steve Cook at the Viper Room.
