[It’s Shakira’s birthday today, and Gucci Mane’s too. And no jokes about Groundhog Day here …]
Tonight’s touts:
‣ Coming off a strong show Tuesday at the Troubadour, Danish songstress Oh Land (born Nanna Øland Fabricius) does a second night in L.A., a 7:30 p.m. show at the Echo. That’s the video for “Son of a Gun,” above.
‣ And later at the Echo, it’s a couple familiar faces in their guises as solo artists – Big Search (Matt Popieluch of Foreign Born) and White Fences (Tim Presley of Darker My Love)
‣ Aussie veterans the Church kick off their Future Past Perfect tour at the El Rey Theatre – they’ll be performing three of their most beloved albums in the entirety, “Untitled #23,” “Priest=Aura” and “Starfish.”
‣ There’s a strong local bill at Bordello, with Gram Rabbit, Spindrift and Sky Parade.
‣ And pop-punk faves the Dollyrots rock the Troubadour.
