The MTV EXIT campaign continues its innovative music collaborations to raise awareness about social issues affecting young people’s lives. Following the footsteps of acts such as Radiohead, the Killers and Muse, Black Iris – the commercial music collective and counterpart to the label White Iris (home to Best Coast, Fool’s Gold, Sweaters and more) – has teamed up for a video titled “When Will I Feel Love” to shed light on the serious issues of human trafficking. The song, written by Black Iris composer/producer Lewis Pesacov (Fool’s Gold/Foreign Born) and featuring the vocals of Best Coast‘s Bethany Cosentino, articulates the message behind Edouard Sailer’s haunting video, which highlights the dangers and impact of trafficking for sexual exploitation, particularly of young women. The track itself is available to download on iTunes here, with proceeds benefiting organizations working to rescue and rehabilitate victims of human trafficking. More here on MTV EXIT.
