[The post-SXSW wave of buzz bands hits L.A. in force Tuesday, when there are so many good shows you’d think you were on 6th Street in Austin. Here is a sampling of wares by three talked-about acts at SXSW:]

Esben & the Witch, “Warpath” – The trio from Brighton, England, in February released their full-length debut “Violet Cries,” and chatter in Austin abounded over their powerful, shadowy rock, which, depending on your mindset, may or may not be Goth. They play Tuesday at the Bootleg Theater. (Photo: Angel Ceballos)

The Jezabels, “Mace Spray” – Leather-clad singer Hayley Mary and her quartet made quite an impression in Austin; their “Dark Storm” EP packs a punch too. They play Tuesday at the Satellite and Wednesday at the Hotel Cafe.

Otis Heat, “Pre LP EP” – The Portland, Ore., trio deals in sumptuous blues-rock that bobs along on funky bass lines. They’re offering their whole EP for download (below is a stream of “Shame”), and they play the Silverlake Lounge on Tuesday.
