With a band name like Sunshine Factory, optimistic tunes aren’t far behind. Brothers Corey and Jordan Judge along with John Karwoski and Tony Hammons from Palmdale offer their take on beachy pop music and in a scene where lo-fi gear and distortion is now amusingly associated with the genre, their solid throwback vibe to the Beach Boys is a breath of fresh air. It will take more than a few apathetic hipsters to taint the good name of power-pop. Sunshine Factory sounds like they’re on our side.
