I’ll Remember This Until: I get my hands on that third Health album. L.A. noiseniks Health can be hard to like, unless you’re a noisenik yourself. Two albums of fearless experimentalism established the quartet as makers of some of the deliciously shreddy tones around, even if those guitar, bass, synth and rhythm elements aren’t arranged in song structures palatable to mainstreamers. But as the disco remixes of their albums showed, the building blocks are there. So it was especially exciting in the steamy set Sunday to hear Health tease new material that, while still roiling with their heavy textures, was more song-based. Sounded like something that’d be on a Beggars Group label.
