Download: The Boxer Rebellion, ‘No Harm’

Like a lot of good, Britpop-inspired rock, the music of the Boxer Rebellion can feel larger than life. The London-based quartet (with an American frontman, Nathan Nicholson) makes swoon-worthy anthems that recall Editors or a more virile Coldplay, songs that have attracted U.S. fans in droves. The band went the independent route, self-releasing their third album “The Cold Still” (produced by Ethan Johns) in February and gaining a lot of momentum with the screen time they got in the 2010 flick “Going the Distance.” As they display on the album’s first two tracks, “Step Out of the Car” and “No Harm,” Nicholson and mates can go from ear-bending to heartrending in a blink.
