The rain will stop, the shows won’t:

‣ Nineties faves Buffalo Tom headline the Troubadour behind their new album, “Skins,” and the Heavenly States open.
‣ Thao Nguyen, who recently collaborated with Mirah on an album, brings her band Thao With the Get Down Stay Down to UCLA’s Royce Hall. Morning Teleportation opens.
The Stripminers – the new band featuring Brett Anderson of the Donnas and Paul Stinson of the Radishes (along with the likes of DJ Bonebrake, Holland Greco, Scrote and Bret Simons) – headlines the Satellite, supported by Mack Winston and the Reflections.
‣ A pair of respected L.A. songwriters, Patrick Park and Sara Lov, highlight the bill at the Bootleg Theater.
‣ Big night at the Hotel Cafe, where Meiko will be showcasing some material from her forthcoming second album during an early set, followed by a performance by Kevin Devine and the Wealthy West. The latter act is an Austin band fronted by Brandon Kinder of indie-rockers the Rocketboys. That’s their video for “Home,” above.
‣ And the Belle Brigade does a free in-store at Amoeba (7 p.m.).
