Video: Princeton, ‘The Electrician’

2

If nothing else, the new video from Santa Monica-bred indie quartet Princeton solved one mystery for me: Whatever happened to Active Child? Harp-wielding Pat Grossi seemed poised to take over the indie universe last year, and there was talk of an album early this year. (It apparently needed more TLC, because now the as-yet-untitled album is scheduled for Aug. 23.) But this is Princeton’s bit, and there is Grossi starring in directors T.S. Pfeffer and Robert McHugh’s video for the deliciously dark take on the tune “The Electrician.” The song is the B-side to Princeton’s “To the Alps” single, which sees the foursome veering a bit toward the Euro/electro-oriented sound of Jesse Kivel’s side project Kisses. And because there’s seemingly no indie-pop song these days that’s not worth five remixes, here’s a dance-friendly take on “To the Alps.”
