The Icarus Line has been making music and mayhem for a decade now, surviving bumps and bruises and embracing the notion that rock ’n’ roll should be a bit reckless, if not downright dangerous. Except for a single released early last year, the band has been pretty silent since 2007’s rockin’ “Black Lives at the Golden Coast.” But today main man Joe Cardamone unveiled a new track, “Bad Bloods,” along with an announcement that a new album is en route in early August on an imprint called Roar Scratch, which also will release the new Giant Drag album. GD’s Annie Hardy is now in the Icarus Line’s live lineup, joining Cardamone, bassist Alvin DeGuzman, guitarist Jason DeCorse and drummer Troy Petrey. And you can see the quintet’s new incarnation on Monday.
