Stream: The Icarus Line, ‘Bad Bloods’

by kevin on May 25, 2011

The Icarus Line has been making music and mayhem for a decade now, surviving bumps and bruises and embracing the notion that rock ’n’ roll should be a bit reckless, if not downright dangerous. Except for a single released early last year, the band has been pretty silent since 2007′s rockin’ “Black Lives at the Golden Coast.” But today main man Joe Cardamone unveiled a new track, “Bad Bloods,” along with an announcement that a new album is en route in early August on an imprint called Roar Scratch, which also will release the new Giant Drag album. GD’s Annie Hardy is now in the Icarus Line’s live lineup, joining Cardamone, bassist Alvin DeGuzman, guitarist Jason DeCorse and drummer Troy Petrey. And you can see the quintet’s new incarnation on Monday.

hey now, let’s not forget Giant Drag’s “Swan Song EP” was the first Roar Scratch release in February 2009, one song per year of no songs. Real winners over here. Fully mastered GD album produced by Joe Cardamone, ready to get a release date & what not… Fuck it, I’m just joining Icarus Line for good & treating Giant Drag like a hobby, the rest of the band does.
Los Angeles needs real rock n’ roll & Icarus Line can supply and did tonight. I am deaf in my left ear.
