► British band Stornoway brings their alternative indie folk-flavored pop to the Troubadour. Go early and catch Sacramento’s charming Sea of Bees [that's her video for "Sidepain" above] play the supporting set.
► Singer-songwriters Mike Viola, Haroula Rose, Daniel Ahearn and the Jones all play an early show at the Satellite (starting at 8:00 p.m.) as part of the venue’s new “Every First Sunday” series.
► Gardens & Villa, Chapman & Brocker, Glow Marrow, FIM, and Captions play Open Borders Music & Art Festival out in Thousand Oaks tonight.
► The Echo’s early country show Grand Ole Echo (5:00 p.m.) features a folk lineup of Olentangy John, Jesse Harris Band, Dan Janisch and Wreck N’ Sow.
