First Monday, new month, lots to preview:

Flogging Molly brings the powerful, politically charged punk on its new album “Speed of Darkness” to the Music Box.
‣ Busy night at the burgeoning Bootleg  – at the Bootleg Bar, Band of Skulls begins a two-night stand, supported by Miami-bred, L.A.-based songstress Rachel Goodrich (that’s her video for “Light Bulb,” above.) Meanwhile at the Bootleg Theater (same building, different room), Henry Wolfe kicks off his June residency, performing “Wolfe Sings Field,” which he describes as “a musical fable of sin, catastrophe and divine retribution at an old folks home.” He’ll be accompanied by a chamber orchestra.
‣ Residencies, add 1: Dante vs. Zombies holds forth at the Echo, supported by John Carpenter, Peg Leg Love – and some late surprise guests being billed as “Casual Knowledge.” We like surprises. The secret is out – Fool’s Gold is the surprise guest at midnight tonight at the Echo.
‣ Residencies, add 2: Duniven, whose music we premiered back in February, is doing Mondays at the Silverlake Lounge, and on opening night, Wet and Reckless, Light FM and Jerry Borge support.
‣ Residencies, add 3: The Californian [see our intro from a year ago] brings its surf/indie sound to the Satellite, where Marvelous Toy and Pacific Hurt open.
‣ And It’s a School Night at Bardot features a turn by the Elected, whose third album is just out.

Note: Adele’s scheduled show at the Greek Theatre was postponed because the singer is battling laryngitis.
