Last year, while sorting out all things Fresno, we acknowledged rock trio the Fay Wrays, who made our ears sting, if not bleed a little. It was good pain, though, inflicted with fervor but not malice. Principals Ben McEntee and Eli Reyes, along with various contributors, are back to bruising with the new album “Strange Confessor,” which, whether you merely allow for a splash of thrash or feast on a steady diet of post-punk, makes for good consumption. Reyes may be in L.A. soon drumming for Rademacher (who are working on a new album), but here’s hoping.
