‣ Rooney and Voxhaul Broadcast team up at the El Rey Theatre. Rooney’s latest batch of power-pop “Eureka” is edgier than their first two albums; Voxhaul’s debut “Timing Is Everything” came out in March.
‣ Black Lips and Cerebral Ballzy bring the party to the Music Box. Black Lips’ “Arabia Mountain” is their sixth album. Hard to believe.
‣ Amy Kuney (that’s her video for “Gasoline Rainbows,” above) plays the Bootleg Theater.
‣ Holly Golightly & the Brokeoffs visit the Hotel Cafe for two shows behind the release of their fourth album, “No Help Coming.”
‣ And Keren Ann performs at McCabe’s in Santa Monica.
