Lots and lots to start your weekend:

Rooney and Voxhaul Broadcast team up at the El Rey Theatre. Rooney’s latest batch of power-pop “Eureka” is edgier than their first two albums; Voxhaul’s debut “Timing Is Everything” came out in March.
Black Lips and Cerebral Ballzy bring the party to the Music Box. Black Lips’ “Arabia Mountain” is their sixth album. Hard to believe.
Amy Kuney (that’s her video for “Gasoline Rainbows,” above) plays the Bootleg Theater.
Holly Golightly & the Brokeoffs visit the Hotel Cafe for two shows behind the release of their fourth album, “No Help Coming.”
‣ And Keren Ann performs at McCabe’s in Santa Monica.
