Video: Superhumanoids, ‘Malta’

L.A. quartet Superhumanoids have a slightly off-kilter name, so it’s fitting in a way that the visual accompaniment to their song “Malta” be abnormal as well. The song, which is off of their recent “Parasite Parade” EP, offers lyrics that focus on the fear of a friendship falling apart. To represent this questionable relationship, director Evan Weinerman zooms his camera in on two space girls in a barren yet futuristic location wandering near each other but also keeping a distance between one another. Their fear of the “monsters” eventually rips any bond the two have left, leaving one friend standing alone but still alive.
