[It’s been a scorching hot week in Los Angeles. Take a listen to these new summer jams to help cool things down.]

Flight Facilities, “Foreign Language feat. Jess” – Sydney, Austalia-based DJ/producer duo Flight Facilities first took everyone by surprise when they unleashed “Crave You feat. Giselle” back in 2010. Not only did the pop gem shoot up the charts but it went on to be a part of 2010’s top mash-ups when Belgium’s Aeroplane remixed it with Friendly Fires’ “Paris.” This new track featuring Jess is yet another smooth summer jam but with a heavier disco tint. Gather the crew and head on out to the roller rink.

Little Dragon, “Ritual Union” – This second single from Little Dragon’s new album is the title track as well as the opening song. Not only is it deserving to bear the name of Swedish electro-soul band’s third studio album, but it completely sets the tone for the 10 lush tracks that follow. Yukimi Nagano’s cool croons once again balance out the sizzle in the song. Also, if you haven’t already done so, grab “Nighlight” for a listen.

Tycho, “Hours” – Before there was Washed Out or Toro y Moi, there was Scott Hansen working his magical sepia-toned soundscapes under the moniker Tycho. It’s been 10 years since the release of his first proper LP, “Sunrise Projector,” and his upcoming album, “Dive” is proof that his craft has not only strengthened but it’s also taken bolder directions. Tycho’s catalog has always reflected his work as a graphic artist (aka ISO50), but “Hours,” a slice of what’s on the upcoming record, brings in the guitar to guide the melodies this time around. His version of prog-rock may be softer than what others are used to, but it’s exciting to hear a bit more grit in those flawless waves of electronica. (Download via Pitchfork.)
