Your Friday fodder:

Magnolia Memoir, the L.A. jazz-pop quintet that conjures up the heyday of Billie Holiday, headlines the Troubadour. That’s the band’s Margaret Cho-directed video for “Broken Cup,” above.
Summer Darling, working on material for a follow-up to last summer’s well-received debut, plays the Satellite, supported by  Polls and Future Ghost.
Abandoned Pools, with the singles “In Silence” and “Marigolds” teasing Tommy Walter’s first album in six years (“Sublime Currency,” due out later this year), rock the Viper Room.
LA Font kicks off a Friday residency at Casey’s downtown.
‣ And across the Orange County line, Devo brings its boundless energy to the Grove of Anaheim.
