The summer concert fun is never over until you’ve wiped the butter from your chin. Which is to say that the Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival is approaching – the three day event is Sept. 16, 17 and 18, and the lineup, again curated by ex-Indie 103.1 music director Mark Sovel, offers some of the best local bands around playing an outdoor stage at Ports O’Call Village in San Pedro.

After kicking off Friday night with the triple-headliner bill of White Arrows, Andy Clockwise and the Fling, Saturday’s fare features the likes of Eastern Conference Champions, Shadow Shadow Shade, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister, Vaud & the Villains, Light FM and Judson McKinney. Sunday’s bill includes Dante Vs. Zombies and the Little Ones, with a headliner to be announced.

Of course, there’s crazy crustacean garb, family entertainment and bountiful lobster dinners too. Watch for an updated announcement soon on the Lobsterfest website.
