First, if you were an album getting played tonight, which one would you be?
‣ In advance of the annual Cracker/Camper Van Beethoven cookout in Pioneertown this weekend, David Lowery brings both of his bands to the Satellite with a special agenda: Cracker will be performing its 1993 album “Kerosene Hat,” and Camper Van Beethoven will be performing 1989’s “Key Lime Pie.”
‣ Peter Hook & the Light visit the Music Box to take on the Joy Division album “Closer,” and Hook and his band will be joined for the performance by Moby (who, it says here, once played in a post-punk band called AWOL). El Ten Eleven opens.
And the rest of a wickedly busy Wednesday:
‣ Fleet Foxes and the Walkmen team up for a big night at the Greek Theatre.
‣Welsh rock trio the Joy Formidable play the El Rey behind their full-length “The Big Roar,” which kind of describes their live show. Telekinesis and local indie rockers Races open. That’s the video for the Joy Formidable’s “A Heavy Abacus,” above.
‣ Seattle sextet the Moondoggies, working on a follow-up to 2010’s very good “Tidelands,” visit the Echo, with the Romany Rye and Post War Quartet supporting.
‣ The Gaslight Anthem’s frontman Brian Fallon brings his side project the Horrible Crowes to the Troubadour. (Check out a stream of their album “Elsie” here.)
‣ And Patrick Wolf will be previewing material off his forthcoming album “Lupercalia” during the first of two nights at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

I had a great time seeing Peter Hook & the Light in NYC, Some guy who use to manage NO in America introduced the band before they came on. The set list was amazing and they sounded great live, my favorites were Isolation, Heart & soul and Decades, during Atmosphere some guy in front of me started a fight because he was messing with his girl so Hooky stopped the show till everything cleared out and then started Atmosphere again. After the show I was Lucky enough to go backstage and meet Peter Hook and took some pictures and got some autographs.

Sorry that I could not take any pictures during the show, because my camera sucks in the dark.
Saw Post-War Quartet open for the Moondoggies at The Echo. THOSE KIDS REALLY ROCK! Seriously, I think they’ve got something real. How can we see more of them?
