It’s a fantabulous Friday:

‣ Back in April, Eastern Conference Champions (that Joshua Ostrander, pictured) released one of our favorite albums of the year, “Speak-Ahh.” The trio warms up for a trip overseas with a date at the Satellite, supported by Duniven and Warships.
Surfer Blood, with a new EP “Tarot Classic” on the way Oct. 25, heads up a big lineup at the Echoplex, with a trio of L.A. bands – Wounded Lion, Dante vs. Zombies and Hands. Check out Surfer Blood’s new single, “Miranda.”
‣ Peter Hook continues to mine his first band’s old catalog at the El Rey, where Peter Hook & the Light perform the Joy Division album “Unknown Pleasures.” L.A’s El Ten Eleven opens.
Polls brings its noisy pop, and the Californian its surf noir to the Echo, where Pek Pek and the Now also play.
Jason Diaz visits the Bootleg Theater, with the Muddy Reds, Kyle Nicolaides and the Little Richard tribute act Big Dick.
‣ And Lobsterfest kicks off a weekend of fun and music at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro – the great opening-night music lineup features White Arrows, Andy Clockwise and the Fling.
