Premiere: Hands, ‘Warm Night Home’

L.A. quartet Hands prestidigitate in a world where synths change cloud formations, rhythms alter the horizon and Geoffrey Halliday’s vocals soar above it all, at once hopeful and yearning. Halliday and bandmates Ryan Sweeney, Sean Hess and Alex Staniloff have been crafting a new EP’s worth of music for a year now (see our premiere of the demo for “Brave Motion”), the complexities of their sample- and loop-addled indie rock remain dizzying – and, with today’s release of their “Warm Night Home” single, filled with the promise that Hands will show the way to a place the ambient and tactile collide.
