T.G.I.F., everyone, and here’s what we have to be thankful for. Musically.

‣Ben Gibbard & Co., a.k.a. Death Cab For Cutie, will be coding and keying at the Fox Theater in Pomona along with Zach Rogue’s (of Rogue Wave) new project, Release the Sunbird.
‣It’s worthy cause-time, and tonight’s cause is funding music programs in schools. “A Benefit for the Harmony Project” featuring American Royalty , the Dustbowl Revival, the Muddy Reds, and Future Ghost at the Central. Get tickets for the show HERE.
‣Yes, Howard Jones is at the Music Box. You know him, his hair, and his synth/pop-of-the-80s ways.
‣Round two with Foo Fighters at the Forum. You might want to get there early enough to catch Dave Grohl filling in on drums for Cage the Elephant as their drummer, Jared Champion, went down with a burst appendix. Grohl just may have a future in music, after all.
‣The lovely, talented, and slightly quirky Katie Herzig brings her progressive style of folk rock to the Bootleg Bar. If you’ve seen her video for “Free My Mind” , then you know the adjective “quirky” applies.
