In the three months since the L.A. Buzz Bands Show arrived on KCSN (88.5 FM), I’ve heard two strong reactions: First, listeners (and the music community in general) are happy that there’s a new FM outlet for local music. And then there are several variations on the following question: “Dude, why can’t I hear you in Silver Lake?” KCSN’s fall pledge drive – themed “Pump the Power” – aims to address that second issue, as the listener-supported station builds the resources necessary to strengthen its signal.

Join me at midnight tonight for the “Pump the Power” edition of the L.A. Buzz Bands show (and visit KCSN.org) to learn how you can help. I’ll pitch for your pledges and play some great music too – including songs from Dawes, Superhumanoids, Voxhaul Broadcast, Vanaprasta and more. After the jump, the playlist:

Dawes, “If I Wanted Someone”
Stacy Clark, “I Know Who I Am”
Superhumanoids, “Mikelah”
Caught a Ghost, “Hold Out”
Voxhaul Broadcast, “Leaving on the 5th”
