When we last heard from U.K.-bred, L.A.-based songstress Carina Round, she was releasing an EP as part of the Early Winters. She’s been busy; Round has a full-length in the works for next spring – collaborators include Billy Corgan, Dave Stewart and Brian Eno – and she’s guesting with Maynard James Kennan’s Puscifer, with whom she will tour as a member and as the opening act. This year also saw the re-release of her 2001 debut “The First Blood Mystery. In advance of the new full-length, Round next week is releasing “The Last Time” as a 7-inch single via Manimal. The fires in Round’s past work, which includes three albums (two for Interscope) and an EP, have ranged from flickering to raging. Her new single smolders nicely.
