Tops on a terrific Tuesday:

‣ It’s that time of the month – Buzz Bands LA’s SecondTuesday songwriter night at Lot 1 Cafe features acoustic performances by Nico Stai and Megan Jacobs, along with Michael Feerick (Amusement Parks on Fire) and Brian Cleary (Strange Parade, the Movies).
‣ Long-running indie-pop duo Mates Of State hit the El Rey Theatre behind their new album “Mountaintops.” That’s their new video for “Sway,” above. Lewis Carroll would love it.
‣ With a new album “The Lion’s Roar” coming in January, Swedish sister team First Aid Kit plays the Troubadour. Slow club opens.
Kisses bring their Euro-flavored electropop to the Roxy, playing along with Greek downtempo outfit Keep Shelly in Athens and Pyyramids.
‣ Australian rockers invade L.A., Part I: The Jezabels headline the Echo, supported by Hey Rosetta (recently signed to ATO Records) and Yellow Red Sparks.
‣ Australian rockers invade L.A., Part II: Melbourne quintet Little Red visits the Satellite. Listen to their song “Get a Life” here, and check out their video for “Rock It.”
‣ And at the Vista Theatre, Sufjan Stevens and and Raymond Raposa perform a live score to a screening of Kaleo La Belle’s film “Beyond This Place.” There are two showings, at 6:45 and 9:45.
