Premiere: Shana Halligan, ‘C’est si Bon’

0

As we reported back in June, Shana Halligan has moved on from her work in the trip-hop duo Bitter:Sweet and found fertile soil – most of it European – for her sultry vocal stylings. Halligan, who has spent the past year collaborating with the likes of Nouvelle Vague, System of a Down’s Serj Tankian, Thievery Corporation and producers Alex Cowan (aka TM Juke), Carmen Rizzo and Charles Webster, today announced the release of her solo debut, the “Paper Butterfly” EP. It will come out Nov. 29 (followed by a full-length in 2012) on the new Unknown Breakthrough imprint, which is backed by Ingrooves co-founder Robb McDaniels and Thievery Corporation’s Rob Garza, among others. The non-EP (and non-album) single conjures up a high-tech lounge, powered by Halligan’s silky voice. Light a candle.
