Yes, they’re all in four minutes’ work for Flora & Fauna, the new L.A. quartet whose early songs seem equally beholden to post-punk and soul-pop. The foursome of Matt Bernstein, Adam Gunther, Casey Baird and Charlie Ellis — SoCal natives who honed their chops at Connecticut’s Wesleyan University* — can swing from droll to whimsical in the turn of a phrase. Outside of their new song “Secret Preference” (an ideal mate for Papa’s “I Am the Lion King”), Flora & Fauna have a Strokesy seen-it-all comportment, and who knows, maybe they have. After all, haven’t you as well?

Correction: it’s Wesleyan University.
Wesleyan College is an all girls college in the South.
Difference? Just a bit.
And this band is awesome especially that guy Matt, he’s cool.
Same college as MGMT? Sounds like they had the same professor of rock.
