Stream: Mirabelle, ‘Dreams’ (Fleetwood Mac cover)

As homages go, well … this is homage. Thirty-five years ago today, Fleetwood Mac released an album called “Rumours,” which turned out pretty well for them. To mark the anniversary, NYC-based duo Mirabelle – the project of singer-songwriter Michelle Hotaling and producer Scott Slater – today released “Crystal Revisions,” a syrupy seven-track paean to the music of Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham. How much you like “Revisions” will largely depend on how you feel about covers in general, and this collection, however well-intentioned, sends me scurrying back to the original. It’s available for name-your-price on Bandcamp.
