Soft Swells celebrate the release of their self-titled album with an early show (8 p.m.) at the Hotel Cafe, where the Ruby Friedman Orchestra plays an even earlier set (7) and King Washington plays later. [See Soft Swells’ “Put It on the Line.”]
The Dead Ships mark the release of their debut “Electric Ahab” with a show at the Echo, supported by the Ross Sea Party, Hello Echo and the Muddy Reds. [See the Dead Ships’ “Bones Cracked.”]
The Jealous Sound (pictured) winds up a nationwide tour at the Satellite to support their comeback effort “A Gentle Reminder,” their first album in eight-plus years. [See our post on TJS.]
‣ Blues rockers Terraplane Sun headline the Bootleg Bar, with Jamestown Revival and COYOL opening.
‣ And Mind the Gap winds up its residency at the Central SAPC in Santa Monica, supported by Maniac and Tien.
