The Buzz Bands LA crew is still in Austin due to a late flight out, but the excellent post-SXSW shows in L.A. start tonight:

The Temper Trap‘s first post-SXSW show happens at the El Rey Theatre tonight as they continue to tour in support of their forthcoming self-titled album (out June 5 on Glassnote and Columbia). [Listen to “Rabbit Hole” here.] Local band PAPA (who just played our SXSW showcase) and DJ Izzi Willow support.
‣ Swedish multi-instrumentalist Emil Svanängen – aka Loney Dear – stops by for an early show at the Bootleg Theater to play some songs off his new album “Hall Music.” [Download “Loney Blues” below.] Ed Vallance co-headlines with songs from his latest album “Volcano,” too. [That’s his video for “Crystalline” above.]

Voxhaul Broadcast (just one of the many bands who drove home immediately after their last SXSW gig) kicks off the sevearal great pairings at local residencies tonight with the help of Robotanists at the Satellite. Useless Keys also play.
NO and LA Font team up at the Echo, and Oakland trio Mwahaha joins in on the fun.
Monte Mar continues to hold down the fort at Silverlake Lounge with help from yOya, and Warships rounds out the lineup.
